SWICK is hands down the best pocket carry, foldable lock pick on the market today. Tons of pick and tension wrench options give you everything you could possibly need to pick basic and high security locks. I have had multiple folding pick sets over the years, and every one left me still having to go back to my bag for another tool (different tension wrench, or one of my “Go-To” picks). SWICK has all of my favorite tools onboard and then some! Worth every penny I spent, and good enough for me to order 2. One for my pocket, and one for my bag (Just in case). Quality equipment and you can tell a ton of time and research went into the design and materials selection. I could go on and on, get one for yourself and you will see what I mean.

I own every pocket pick set there is from multipick, hpc, southern specialties, to southord. This has them all beat by a lot. great profiles and very well made. Best part is no knobs levers or covers to come loose or move while picking. Now I just need a gem profile for it and it’d be perfect.

By far the best EDC lock pick on the market. I have searched for so long for a good pocket lock pick but i was always disappointed, some designs have little tensioning screws that fall out and you go to pick a lock and the thing is just flopping around in there its unusable. The reason you need the swick over the competition is it is sturdy as hell no more floppy pick action you get real feedback and can actually attack security pins with this thing also it has everything you need 2 TOK tensioners beautifully built into the body 2 BOK tensioners with room to add more of your own if you are into lock picking this is a must have not only are you receiving a quality product you are also supporting an amazing business

Today at my office somebody lost the key to our warehouse. I was able to rake the locks and gain access with this tool.

  5. Nick Rutkowski (verified owner)

An excellent tool. I find myself using it over my Peterson and sparrows tools. I was skeptical about the size and execution of a jackknife style multi pick tool. I’m very happy with how it feels in the hand and how incredibly stiff the picks are when it’s locked out. There’s no wiggle at all. Very well crafted.

  6. Andrew Deutchman (verified owner)

My favorite jackknife style lock pic by far. The only complaint I have is you may want to make sure the screws are tight when you receive it. My first one I ordered was tight but I lost a screw on the second one I received. I shot picklock a email about it and I’m sure they will send me a replacement soon.

  7. Parker B

Top notch. I have run through some serious locks with mine and its done great. has great feedback since it locks in place well.

  8. Danyy Ellis (verified owner)

I just received the swick pick tried it out on a schlage lock with some good deep cuts and it worked excellent best pick i have had so far thank you hopefully it will make my job a little easier

Fit & Finish needs work, but has opened everything I’ve thrown at it. Still waiting on some Warded/Wafer add-ons. My EDC field tool regardless.

Received for Christmas. Great little pocket kit. Small and lightweight, it goes anywhere. The short, medium, and deep hooks are all I need. I haven’t used the BOK tensioners yet, but the set is complete. The two TOK bars are extraordinary. They look bead blasted and never slip out of the lock. My only qualm is that the blades are very hard to lift out of the tool. The spring is much too firm. Altogether a terrific design with everything you’d need.

  11. Doug (verified owner)

Wow. I can only seem to pick with my swick and two other picks. I have several sets, but carry this one daily, and use it frequently in my job. Wow!!!! Plus the turners are my favorites. The low side never falls out, I’m ordering more sets…

  12. David Lockhart

And unbelievable tool!! I learned how to pick with this. A great tool to keep handy just in case.

  13. Rick Dickinson

Kickstarter backer here. Great little EDC pick set, with a good assortment of profiles. Fit and finish is decent, but definitely could be a bit better. Magnets holding the TOK tensioners in place keep coming loose, despite re-gluing with superglue. (Fiber reinforced nylon makes the body nice and tough, but damn near impossible to get glue of any type to stick reliably.) I’ve lost one magnet on each side already, and don’t know what size to order from eBay to replace them. For now I keep a rubber band around the body to keep from losing the turners.

    • storm.locks

We have found a solution for the magnets, we textured the hole for the magnets. If you reach out to us via our email or phone we can send you more magnets. SWICK is a work in progress and we continue to work on making it the number one folding EDC pick on the market. Thank you for backing our dream and making SWICK a possibility.

It’s a great everday carry. Comes with almost everything you need and while still leaving your pocket “roomy”. By far the best everyday carry lockpick set in such a small device.

  15. Corey White

I’ve been using swick since the kickstarter, and my favorite thing about it is how easy it is to switch between the blades. If one blade doesn’t work, then another is guaranteed to open the lock.

  16. Nelson WALKER (verified owner)

European here ! (Wanted to tell you can buy it with no issues at all)
Very nice product, can open all my current lock with the Swick (Yale500/American Lock 1100 / Masterlock etc….)
A lil stiff when u need to take the L tensioners but i will get used to it really fast.
A really good product with awesome design, wonder if more add-ons can be create to this ! (Dimple/Wafers….)
    Great work everyone !

I am extremely happy with this tool, there are so many picks and tensioners packed in such a pocketable package. If you are new and don’t realize how to sand/finish a pick then look it up and do it, I wouldn’t expect the picks to be finished for the price.

I hope others realize what a great package this is, I bought the “compact option” from LPL and it doesn’t even come close to the portability per useful tool that this does.

I love this tool, it is smart, it is pockatable, it is a beast for portable lock picking. I would suggest to anyone reading this review that you ignore the LPL’s stuff if you are only interested in having the ability to pick a lock on the go. The most compact tool that LPL offers is bigger, feels cheaper, and has an incredibly less amount of tools in a larger package.

Buy this, I hope this tool continues to sell, it is innovative, I have owned jackknives in the past.

Fit and finish is lacking. TOK bar seems to have some corrosion on it. Came in a plastic bag with no instructions. For the price I expected better. The SWICK is OK, but it is overpriced for what you receive.

    • storm.locks

I’m sorry to hear that you found the fit and finish lacking. We strive to ensure that our products meet the highest standards before they leave our production line.

Regarding the price, you won’t find anything comparable in terms of the quality of steel we use, the number of blades and turners provided, and certainly not with a lifetime guarantee on all parts, for under $100.

That said, we will take your feedback into account and work to improve the finish.

Extremely pleased with my purchase. You can tell a lot of attention to detail and engineering genius went into this useful tool. Shipped very quickly. Absolutely essential EDC tool.

  20. Matthew Miller (verified owner)

Been using the swick for a couple months now. I’m not the best lock picker but the swick holds up better than I thought it would. Very impressed and like all the options it has. Thanks for the great product.

Here’s an improved version of your review:

First impressions of the Swick: Wow, it really packs a punch for its compact size! There’s nothing quite like the amount of functionality you get in such a small tool. The pick profile selection is excellent, and I opted for the additional profiles to give me even more options. This is hands-down the ultimate daily carry for lock pickers.

What’s even more impressive is that this is a startup, and the owner built this product from scratch—something that’s truly remarkable. Most people can’t fathom the level of investment—both in time and resources—that goes into creating a product like this. For any lock picker, this should be a go-to daily carry, offering tons of options for tension and pick profiles.

My only complaint is that the tumbling process could use some more attention. The rakes, in particular, are a bit rough. They’re not sharp, but they’re also not finished properly. You can feel the ridges on the rakes, and they feel a bit coarse when raking a lock. That said, a little 1200-grit sandpaper will fix this, but honestly, it shouldn’t be necessary for the customer to do this . That is the only con. Other wise this thing is amazing !!!

If the company addresses these tumbling and finishing issues—particularly with the rakes—this will easily be a 10/10. Right now, it’s an 8/10. I’ll be posting a full review on my channel @thelockwhisper so that both the owner and others can see my thoughts. It’s not a dealbreaker, just a small area that could use some extra love before the product reaches customers.

Recently received my swick . Design , pick profiles, and tension wrench selection is great locking mechanism solid while picking 4 out off 5 star only issue was the wave rake profiles were abit jagged and had to finish the peaks and troffs of the rakes by hand to stop it catching on the pins while raking. But after sanding worked a treat. Just need to be tumbled a little better but Will buy again.

I might be a bit new to locksport, but here’s what I know after having this for a good while. This, this is some good equipment. Granted, it gets a bit annoying when trying to open it one handed, but I think that’s a perfect compromise for a cask print that actually lets me use the tools with them still in place. Besides, there’s a crap ton of variety available for this tool, so it’s like the jack of all trades, but in the form of a powerhouse of sorts. If you played the Pikmin series before, they’re most like the purples as they are known for their strength. This reminds me of them due to its high versatility but large size. All in all, it’s a jackknife pick that feels more like a mini set instead of a less varied jackknife set in exchange for feeling like it’s about the size of a Victorinox Huntsman. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a folding set. I don’t want this to sound corporate, but this is just genuinely impressive, and I don’t know how else to describe it.
